What You Don't Like About DA

As some of you know, I joined via DeviantArt. While I am still a member of said website, there are things that I don't like about the site.

My pet peeves are favebots, porn bots, AI, manchildren making crappy art and fill-in memes, little kids who should never joined the site also posting the same thing, fetish art (diapers, toilet, inflation, weight gain), and not enough people leaving comments and just favebombing, Not to mention people watching me with little to no art, and even if there's something submitted, but it's screencaps/edits/crap art. etc.

Yeah real comments and interaction make huge difference. Thats one of the things I appreciate most in smaller communities

I have been on DeviantArt since it's hayday way back. While I've changed accounts a few times I was always loyal to them until they started allowing gen AI onto their platform. Not only is it a massive insult to all of us who pour countless hours of hard work into our projects (especially since it is an ART sharing platform), it is also threatening to us since for all we know these people could be browsing through the Home page, snagging any of our art that catches their eye, and running it through a generator. It is like a hunting ground for them. Speaking of the Home page, I remember when it was exciting and a great honor if your work was picked to be on it. I think I sent screenshots to everyone I know when it happened to me. Now every time I log on it is literally nothing but gen AI for pages. Maybe I will see real art a few times, but I have to work to see it.
I still have an account up, but I don't post anything new to it.
I tried the Cara app and it was pretty nice for a bit, but I think some people forgot about it.
This place seems so cool and chill! I know this platform is young so it will take awhile for anything even close to virality to happen, but to be honest, I'm not in this business for virality anyway. I just want to share cool art and be surrounded by everyone else's cool art.
